  1. thanks for letting us know about Sally and her accident/broken hip — I’ve just sent her good wishes on her blog.

I’m so glad that you included some photos of the Easter Show — OMG, the “astroturf” … well, as you said, someone put a lot of work into it and I am sure it is very warm. But it does look fuzzy. The Easter Show continues w/its reputation of such weird displays — there are a couple of shawls that are nicely shown, but honestly, the whole thing mostly looks like something from the USSR days, I am not kid you not. The only thing I can think of is that they only “give” x number of cabinets to the knitted items, and everything has to fit inside those cabinets. Too bad — because anyone who entered anyone deserves a decent “showing”.

But you and Sally are like Cheech and Chong — I’m not sure you realize how funny/spontaneous you are in your comments. It is as if you and your best friend are walking through the show and simultaneously saying “now what were they thinking THIS YEAR”. But we must give credit to the knitting community there who continue to enter things no matter how “badly” displayed, and just think — your show comments wouldn’t be as fabulous if the knitting/displays weren’t so … different. I honestly am trying not to laugh at loud here — Sally and your comments are so refreshing for “reviews”!

And really, no washing of an entered item? Who dreamt that up in their sleep … as in what sense does that make? LOL
