About Sticks & String and me
G’day all. I’m David Reidy, an Australian bloke who lives in the Blue Mountains two hours west of Sydney, and knits and podcasts about knitting. Away from the sticks and string, I’m an astrophysicist who now teaches high school. In my knitting and podcasting endeavours I am assisted by my two Burmese cats, Tikka and Tiger.
The Sticks and String podcast appears weekly, so look for a new show each weekend.

oooh… very much looking forward to this series - looks like you got a great collection of interviewees together there. (what is the collective noun for a group of interviewees? A query of interviewees?)
Keep up the good work - cheers, Meg
good show and i LOVE the musical selection and singer at the end. ethereal and beautiful. thank you for searching it out for us, our listeners.
Thanks again, David, for another thoughtful podcast. I’ve been a fan of Magnatune selections for quite awhile and I am glad you feature this music.
See you on Ravelry,
Thea
Howdy David!!! Welcome back. It’s nice to have you in our ears again… and do I hear a new recording setup? Definitely a new microphone. Bravo.
I really loved the Lee-Fay interviews, especially the one with Richard from Ashford!! Were there any pics from that visit? I checked out the Ashford site, but the pics are pretty small.
take care, WonderMike
Just been catching up on the podcasts and loved hearing about Clifton Sheep & Wool. I went to NZ in 1991 and brought back wool from there! Sad to say it’s still in the stash as I’m loathe to knit it up. Hearing from them makes me think knitting it into a lovely cardigan is a better remembrance!
